A CONNECTED NOVI
The City of Novi covers nearly 32 square miles in which we all live, learn, play, and work. From implementing the Oakland County transit plan in Novi to ensuring our library is fully funded, we will support initiatives to bring residents together and allow us to connect with each other.
RELIABLE UTILITIES

Sunny days in Novi shouldn’t lead to power outages - but they do. DTE has failed to prepare its infrastructure for today’s era of climate change and extreme weather, and it’s affecting residents in every corner of the City. While it is true that city leadership can’t solve this problem alone, we can partner with neighboring communities, county and state leaders to be more effective. We’ll ensure that we collaborate and explore all options to keep the lights on for Novi residents.
Library Funding
The Novi Public Library provides our community with invaluable access to books, but it does so much more! Residents of all ages can enjoy creative programming, make use of technology and tools in the iCube, pick up a treat at the Read A Latte Cafe, or grab a study room for a quiet place to work. Our continued access to all of these services depends on appropriate funding. Our library is facing program cuts as a result of being funded under the millage for the previous, much smaller library. We want our community to continue to have a world-class library and we will support sending a millage proposal to voters to adequately fund our library and protect its programming from budget cuts.

CONNECTING WITH OUR NEIGHBORS

Novi is impacted both directly and indirectly by the decisions being made in the communities around us. When we work with our neighbors, it benefits us all. We are committed to restoring partnerships with surrounding communities, advocating for our shared interests and being good stewards of Novi residents’ tax dollars.
Public Transit for All Residents
In November 2022, Novi voters overwhelmingly supported the Oakland County Transit Millage, and our next City Council will be tasked with advocating for a plan that makes lives easier for all Novi residents. We will work to expand existing transportation for our older adult residents and residents with disabilities. We will also advocate for transit options that serve all of our community, providing new options for all ages to reach Novi’s businesses and entertainment centers. We care about our city’s present and its future, so our transit plan will consider the infrastructure necessary for long term success.
